Columbia Equine Hospital

Columbia Equine Hospital, founded in 1983 by Dr. Scott Hansen, is located in Gresham, Oregon.

Originally started as a one doctor ambulatory practice, Dr. Hansen quickly realized that his patients could benefit from care that could not be offered in the field.

The hospital now supports the ambulatory practice that has grown to four full-time veterinarians and one full-time veterinary dental specialist.

Columbia Equine Hospital covers the geographic area of the greater Portland area, southwest Washington, and the Hood River area.

Our mission is to provide the finest equine care and to be partners with our horse owner clients in the medical treatment of all of our patients.

We believe that educated horse owners make the best clients and we do all we can to provide education both at our hospital and on our website.

We are pleased to provide care to our horse patients in our large and state-of-the-art facility in Gresham.

In addition, we also offer farm visits for many of our clients.

The ambulatory practice is focused on performance horses, dentistry, preventive medicine, reproduction, equine medicine, equine emergency care and surgery.
