15th Street Veterinary Group

Our doors first opened in 1965 as Hohmann Veterinary Hospital, under the ownership of Dr. Donald Hohmann.

We pride ourselves in the fact that we have many clients who have been with us since the early days.

We officially became 15th Street Veterinary Group in 1990 when Dr. Wagner and Dr. Shackelford became co-owners of the clinic.

Dr. Hohmann remained on and continued to practice until his death in 1995. Dr. Erin Green joined us in 1999 and became a co-owner with Dr. Shackelford in 2015, Dr. Wagner retired shortly thereafter.

Dr. Kara Herrington joined us in 2014.

One of the things that set us apart from other clinics is the dynamic of our staff.

We genuinely care about one another and consider each other family.

We value everyone’s individual roles whether they be cleaning and kennel staff or veterinarians.

Our relationships with our clients is also unique.

A large portion of our clients have been with us for a long time and we know them very well.

We reminisce together about pets that have long passed and we share in the simple joys that are felt when adopting new pets.

We also enjoy meeting new people and getting to know their fur families in detail.

The walk-in nature of our clinic really allows for us to spend the time needed to review records and develop individualized care plans that right for every family and pet.
