Dr. Noreen Lanza grew up in Connecticut on a small farm. She has always had dogs and horses as pets. As a teenager, she was very active in 4-H, which led her to develop her interest in veterinary medicine.
After obtaining a Bachelor in Animal Science at Purdue University in 1977, she attended veterinary college at New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell. She came to Woodstown, New Jersey in 1981 to practice at Pilesgrove Animal Hospital, a mixed animal practice in Salem and Gloucester Counties. She always drove by and loved the site of Raccoon Valley Animal Hospital. In 1986 she purchased the land, and Raccoon Valley Animal Hospital was completed in 1987. Raccoon Valley Animal Hospital provided large and small animal veterinary services until 1997. Now due to the increasingly suburban population of the county, the hospital is solely devoted to the care of small animals.
