Meet Dr. Walden! Dr. Scott Walden grew up in Hatton, ND.
He graduated Mayville State University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology.
In 1995 he graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
He then went on to do post-doctoral work at the Hollomon Air Force Base in New Mexico working with chimpanzees and monkeys.
In 1998 he accepted the position of Assistant Director of Research Animal Resources at the University of Minnesota.
In 2007 he accepted the position of Director of Animal Resources and Attending Veterinarian at North Dakota State University.
In his 23 years as a veterinarian he has had the privilege of working with a wide variety of species including; dogs, cats, rodents, rabbits, birds, aquatic species, cows, goats, sheep and horses.
He opened his own veterinary practice, Walden Veterinary Service, as a mobile unit in May of 2018.
In October of 2018 he opened clinics in Portland, ND and Hillsboro, ND.
In his spare time he likes to fish, hunt and do woodworking projects.
He lives on a hobby farm outside of Gardner, ND with his wife of 29 years, Dawn, and their teenage son.
