The Pet Hospitals Panther Pet Hospital

Dr. Christine Gibson purchased Panther Pet Hospital in 2002 from Dr. Eric Probst who had practiced in the same small Petal location for 10 years.

From 1992 until today, Panther Pet Hospital has served the people and pets of Petal, Richton, New Augusta and the surrounding communities in Jones and Forrest County.

The little yellow house practice was remodeled by the Gibsons in 2002: a front porch, a fenced exercise yard and a dog boarding kennel were added.

In 2003 a separate cat boarding room and an isolation ward for the sickest pets was constructed.

From 2004 to 2014, thanks to a fabulous staff and the patronage of many great clients and their four-legged family members, the little pet hospital continued to grow.

All four of the Gibson’s children and even some Gibson cousins spent time after school or worked part time at Panther Pet Hospital.

In 2014 – when the kids were more self sufficient – Dr. Gibson enrolled in the Chi Institute and earned certification in Veterinary Acupuncture.

Parkway Pet Hospital in the Glendale area of Hattiesburg, conveniently located off of I-59 North, opened their boarding kennel on Memorial Day weekend and has been a full service veterinary hospital ever since.

It is a beautiful space built by Southeastern Construction Company, designed by Southern Interiors and Angela Lewis, and prayed over and blessed by Fr. Tommy Conway!

Parkway Pet Hospital will serve new clientele from Petal to Hattiesburg and Ellisville to Laurel.

There is plenty of space to treat dogs, cats, birds, pocket pets, pet goats, pet pigs, AND acupuncture patients.

Dr. Gibson looks forward to seeing familiar faces and to making new friends while continuing to serve old friends and new at BOTH locations.

Both Pet Hospitals have the same phone number, the same computer database, the same website and social media pages with the same associate veterinarians and many of the same staff too.
