Animal Health Center

Dr. Linda Farris opened Animal Health Center of Brookhaven in 1987. Farris, a Brookhaven native, feels that the hometown environment of the Animal Health Center creates a comfortable atmosphere for both patients and their owners.

Exotic animals and wildlife are also passions at the Animal Health Center.

We provide outstanding medical services to all exotic animals.

Some of the interesting animals we have treated include birds, rabbits, reptiles, amphibians, rodents, hedgehogs, marsupials, pigs, ferrets, wildlife and more!

Wildlife Rescue and Rehab is also an important part of the Animal Health Center’s mission.

Sick and injured wildlife are a common occurrence in south Mississippi.

Dr. Farris works in concert with both “Wildlife Wramps” and The Mississippi Department of Wildlife and Fisheries to care for and eventually return these animals to the wild.

The American Veterinary Dental Society has estimated that between 70 percent of cats and 80 percent of dogs suffer from periodontal or dental problems when they are as young as three years of age.
