The focus of our practice is to treat everyone like family.

We want both you and your dog(s) to have an enjoyable visit, each and every time you walk in our door.

Rockford Family Vet wants you and your pet to share a long, happy and healthy life together.

In addition to traditional care for your dogs, we offer a variety of preventative care and treatments to ensure your pet the best quality of life possible.

With over 30 years of experience in our practice, we are able to provide you with a personalized experience that joins old-fashioned hospitality with up-to-date treatment methods.

Dr. Butler grew up on a dairy farm where her love of animals was first realized.

She graduated from Michigan State University and has been practicing veterinary medicine for 30+ years with experience in large and small animal practices along with contributing at the State & Federal levels of the Dept. of Agriculture.

Dr. Butler has been at Rockford Family Vet since we opened in 2013.

She loves wellness & preventative veterinary care, because as Benjamin Franklin said “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”.

When not at the office seeing patients, Dr. Butler provides relief work for veterinarians around the state and consults nationwide in an effort to mentor veterinarians to find their best work/life balance due to the increasing trend of mental health concerns in the veterinary field.

She enjoys spending time with her two dogs Lexi (a bird dog mix) & Gunner (a lab), working in her yard and re-watching the Jurassic Park series.
