Grand Ledge Veterinary Hospital is a full-service animal hospital and welcomes both emergency treatment cases as well as pet patients in need of routine medical, surgical, and dental care. Dr. Melissa Wyatt has years of experience treating serious conditions and offering regular pet wellness care. Beyond first-rate pet care, we make our clinic comfortable, kid-friendly, and calm, so your pet can relax in the waiting room and look forward to meeting our Grand Ledge veterinarian.

We are proud to announce that Dr. Melissa Wyatt has joined the staff at Hartel Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Wyatt is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and was last employed at a veterinary hospital in Haslett Michigan, where she practiced companion animal surgery and medicine for over 16 years. We feel incredibly fortunate to now have Dr. Wyatt as a full time doctor here at Hartel.

Hartel Veterinary Hospital was founded by Dr. Pat White and opened in 1985 and has continued at this location since then. We now have three full time employees: Amber Rathburn, the office manager and also a licensed veterinary technician, Christine Anderson, a dedicated veterinary technician . Kathy Schneider had been with us since 1988 and retired as of December 2019 and Amber started in April of 2015. Those of you who remember Karen realize we could never replace her when she retired, but Amber has risen to the occasion and brings a fresh outlook and attitude to our office; we are thrilled to have her here. Denae Baker has also joined our staff. We are a little old fashioned here: we believe that phone calls are better answered by a person.
