Evergreen Veterinary Services

Dr. Larson has always dreamed of owning her own practice, and decided to make that dream come true in the spring of 2017, when she started Evergreen Veterinary Services.

Dr. Larson was born in La Grange, Georgia and moved to Virginia when she was 5 years old.

She spent most of her life in Virginia (a few years in Richmond, but most in Blacksburg) before moving to Maine in 2012.

Dr. Larson obtained her B.S. in Biochemistry from Virginia Tech in 2004, and graduated veterinary school from the Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008.

She then completed a 1-year internship at Brazos Valley Equine Hospital in Navasota, Texas, and returned to Blacksburg, Virginia, to complete a 3-year ABVP (equine practice) residency with the Equine Field Services department at the Veterinary School.

During this time, she sat for and passed her ABVP (equine practice) board exam and successfully finished her M.S. degree (focus on equine respiratory health).

Based out of Searsport, Maine, Dr. Larson provides farm call services to horses within her practice radius, as indicated on this map.

If you aren’t in the practice area but are near the line, please do not hesitate to ask if services can be provided to you!

When not attending patients or doing paperwork, Dr. Larson likes to spend time with her menagerie of animals, which includes several horses, dogs and cats, a few chickens and house finches, two bunnies, and a couple of pocket pets.
