Monica Kinney, DVM
​Dr. Monica Kinney was born and raised in Washington, DC. She is a product of the DC public school system having attended Johns Burroughs Elementary School, Taft Junior High School and Woodrow Wilson Senior High School. Upon high school graduation, she attended the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) where she received her bachelor’s degree in General Agriculture with an emphasis in animal science in 1995. She remained at UMES for an additional two years as a graduate student in the Food and Agricultural Sciences Master’s degree program. In 2002, she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Kinney is fulfilling her childhood dream of being a veterinarian. She has had the amazing opportunity to practice veterinary medicine throughout the country, while traveling with her husband who is an Officer in the US Army. Dr. Kinney is the proud mother of two little girls and one little boy. Her four-legged children include a Boston Terrier, named Brindle and an Old English Bulldog, named Belle. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and traveling.
