Kalona Veterinary Clinic, P.C. was originally established in 1977, when Dr. Yoder moved home after working in a practice in Belle Plaine Iowa. After seven years of practicing, he built the current location in 1984 and ten years later, Dr. Slabaugh joined the practice. We are a mixed animal practice serving the veterinary health care needs of both large and small animals, including cats, dogs, swine, cattle, sheep and goats.

We are a full service veterinary health care facility offering a broad range of complete medical, dental, diagnostic and surgical services. We place a strong emphasis on wellness and preventative care, we are well equipped and fully prepared to deal with the medical needs that may arise for your animal companion.

Our hospital is equipped with the technology and tools necessary to provide our patients with a lifetime of exceptional care, including an in-house diagnostic laboratory for fast and accurate retrieval of test results, a fully stocked pharmacy for all of your pet prescription needs, and a retail area featuring well-known prescription diets and a variety of quality pet care products.
