Veterinarian and Owner

Marisa lives in McDonough with her husband Scott and two children Hailey and Reed.

They enjoy spending weekends on Jackson Lake.

When not working or at the lake, Marisa enjoys working on the family farm with her Belted Galloway cows and her son’s show cows.

She has golden retrievers, a shih tzu, a cat, and a herd of "oreo" cows. Marisa was born in Ohio, but moved to Atlanta in 1983.

She attended the University of Georgia and received her bachelor's degree in animal health in 1994 and her DVM in 1997.

While at UGA, she rode horses on the UGA Equestrian Team. She moved to McDonough after graduation.

She opened Lake Dow Animal Hospital in 2008.

  • Wednesday - 8:00 am to 5:30 pm
  • Thursday - 8:00 am to 5:30 pm
  • Friday - 8:00 am to 5:30 pm
  • Saturday - 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
  • Sunday - Closed
