Hartwell Equine Veterinary Services
Dr. Maureen (Mo) Phillips (formerly Dr. Kelly) had a love of animals, starting at a young age while growing up in Fishers, IN.
She began riding at the age of 10, starting out in Western discipline.
Shortly after starting riding, she trained in Saddleseat for 2 years, and then moved on to Dressage.
At the age of 17, she moved to Fort Mill, SC, where she finished high school. She received her Bachelors of Science in Animal and Veterinary Sciences from Clemson University, and from there, attended the University of Georgia for vet school.
Before vet school, Dr. Phillips thought she only wanted to work with horses, but during vet school, Dr. Phillips discovered her love of small ruminants and camelids (especially alpacas).
She was an active member of the student chapter of the American Association of Equine Practioners and the American Association of Small Ruminant Practioners.
