Athens Animal Hospital

Athens Animal Hospital has been providing veterinary care for Athens area residents for thirty-five years.

Dr. Mel Cown purchased the practice in 1989 upon the retirement of the original builder and practitioner.

The hospital's convenient location at N. Chase St. and the northern arc of Loop 10, remains unchanged.

The hospital is a full service facility, providing small animal medicine and surgery, grooming services, boarding kennels, and, yes, we still make house calls.

Athens Animal Hospital accepts walk-ins, but appointments are preferred, and are required for grooming and kennel services.

We welcome telephone calls concerning veterinary services, grooming and boarding inquiries, nutritional information, and questions concerning general animal husbandry.

We treat our patients like they are our own beloved pets, and our clientele with both professional courtesy and casual hospitality.
