Dr Buck Drummond graduated from the University of Georgia in 1991, and then completed internship training in Los Angeles the following year.

He spent the next 17 years in LA as director of overnight emergency services at a busy 24 hour practice.

In 2008, he relocated to Savannah, GA to pursue his interests in making art.

A few years later, family obligations called him back to the Washington, DC area where he was raised, and as part of his practice there he started working with military and law enforcement canines.

Dr Buck Drummond moved to the Connecticut shoreline in early 2019.

He lives in Essex with his husband, Michael, and their foxhound, Tobias.

He continues to make art, and serves on the board of Paws of Honor, a non-profit organization that aims to provide full veterinary care to retired federal service dogs.
