AAHA was founded in 1933 and is the only association that provides voluntary accreditation to companion animal hospitals.

We are one of approximately 3,000 traditional hospitals and numerous referral hospitals in the United States and Canada that are AAHA accredited and have made a commitment to meeting the highest standards of veterinary care.
