Animal Haven Veterinary Clinic

Animal Haven Veterinary Clinic is a one doctor clinic priding itself on individualized care to every cat, dog and pet care provider.

The clinic was established in 1989, and Dr. Ruth Altman purchased it in July 2004.

Dr. Altman is originally from Miami, Florida and fell in love with Fort Collins when beginning college at Colorado State University.

She returned to Florida for Veterinary School and graduated in 1999.

After graduation she worked in Gresham, Oregon for three years before returning to Fort Collins to purchase Animal Haven Veterinary Clinic in 2004.

Dr. Altman has a special interest in pain management, preventative medicine, and weight management.

Dr. Altman has four dogs, two cats, two donkeys and two horses and one tortoise.

While away from the clinic, she enjoys hikes with the dogs, photography, reading mystery novels, working on her property and horseback riding.
