Shoals Area Veterinary Emergency

The Shoals Area Veterinary Emergency (SAVE) Hospital developed in December 2012 as a collaboration between local veterinarians determined to provide our clients and area pets consistent, compassionate after hours care. We are currently managed by a board of eight veterinarians representing five different practices in Colbert and Lauderdale counties. An emergency with your pet can be a stressful event any time of day, and we are dedicated to having a team ready and waiting to treat your pets when your regular veterinarian's office is closed.

Our hospital is fully equipped with a laboratory able to provide blood testing and sample analysis critical to diagnosing and treating your pet during an emergency. We also offer radiology (x-rays) and surgical services as needed. Our team of ER doctors and nurses will work to stabilize and manage your pet without having to wait until your regular veterinarian is available. The care of your pet will then be transferred back to your veterinarian for ongoing treatment or follow-up.
