My name is Deborah Runyan, but most just know me as Debbi. I grew up in Chelsea, Alabama, a small town around 30 miles south of Birmingham. I have been working at Alford Avenue Veterinary Hospital since November 2003. I graduated from Vestavia Hills High in 2005. After high school I attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) to pursue a career in human internal medicine, all the while still working part time at Alford. There was a lack of fulfillment while attending UAB, and after much thought and support I decided to attend veterinary technician school at Jefferson State Community College in 2014. I graduated with and Associate Degree in Applied Science in December 2016. In my free time I enjoy looking for arrowheads, fresh water fishing, and playing disc golf. I also enjoy spending time with my son Kasen who was born in May 2018.
