While many businesses have closed during this unprecedented health crisis, the Animal Hospital of North Dover is doing everything possible to keep our patients, clients, and staff healthy while still being able to provide veterinary services to our community.


Dr. Mark Roma is the owner of the Animal Hospital of North Dover and a life-long resident of the Jersey Shore area. He graduated salutatorian from Wall High School in 1983 and completed an undergraduate degree, magna cum laude (B.S. in Animal Science) at Cook College, Rutgers University in 1987. During his school years, he was a veterinary technician at the Neptune Animal Hospital before becoming a volunteer and paid Emergency Medical Technician for six years.

In 1991, he received a Doctorate Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania. His first staff veterinary position was in a 24-hour emergency hospital in Columbus, New Jersey. Following that experience, he became an associate at a veterinary hospital in West Windsor, New Jersey, for 11 years.
