McNutt Equine Veterinary

Jim is a graduate of Iowa State University School of Veterinary Medicine and has been in sole practice as an equine veterinarian since 1971. He is an active member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners and the Iowa Veterinary Medical Association. Jim volunteers his time helping to identify the best students for Iowa State's Veterinary School and generously shares his knowledge with both clients and with the next generation of veterinarians.

Jim is a life-long horseman who has bred and managed his own string of foxhunters for decades and currently hunts with North Hills Hunt. He has bred and raised horses for others to enjoy in foxhunting, eventing, driving and pleasure. His natural empathy for both horses and their owners shines through in everything he does.
